What Is I will not fail you here tonight?? It is my latest collection of recorded music written and performed by yours truley. I'm sure quite a few of you are going to ask where does the name come from. The answer to that question is: From Dean Koontz's "Book of Counted Sorrows", a book of poetry he sometimes quotes in novels. I Will not Fail You Here Tonight:

Now take my hand and hold it tight
I will not fail you here tonight
for failing you I fail myself
and place my soul on a shelf
in hells library without light
I will not fail you here tonight

The following tracks were recorded with Digital Sound Planet's Quartz Studio (8 track version), and were mixed down using Cool Edit 2000 (now adobe audition), and Windows Sound Recorder. The instruments used were my 96 American Strat, and Takamine EG334RC. The amp used was a Peavey BackStage and was miked using a 9 dollar Labtec Computer Microphone from Wal-Mart All effects are courtesy of my Boss ME33. All drums are sequenced by me using PC Drummer.

I will not Fail You Here Tonight (689k-3:00)
This is the title track and it is one of my favorite riffs ever to play. I feel like it captures the power and force of the statements made in the poem. It's also a rocking little tune

Good Times (367k-1:33)
This is another one of my favorites. All i really did was add drums to it to finish it up. It's about those awesome moments you spend with your buds. If you know what I'm talking about..Rock On..if not...oh well.

How We Sometimes Wish Things Were (417k-1:46)
Took this acoustic favorite of mine and added some drums and finished up the harmonies. Much better solo this time around I think.

Nothing to do on a Saturday Morning (635k-2:42)
This is a song written after spending a day running the mountains with Sammie. It's about being carefree and not having anything pressing to do right at that particular moment.

Unempty Arms (750k-3:11)
If you have to ask.............don't. This is my Ibanez through a tube screamer type setting with some delay using the setting where the humbuckers are split and then the neck pickup through a nice juicy solo setting with some delay.

A Guitarists Prayer (355k-1:31)
This is a song about just hoping that when you wake up tomorrow everything was a least like you left it the night before. Added some drums and tried to capture the magical solo.

A Guitarists Prayer Part 2 (303k1:17)
The Takamine in DADGAD. I wrote this many years ago. I just now got it under my fingers enough to record it.
