08/04/08 New Song of the Minute Richie Kotzen - Doing What the Devil Says to Do. I knew Richie could play - but listen to those pipes....great words too. Also - check out the groove at the end - the drummer - crazy awesome. My theme song right now :).

07/30/08 New Song of the Minute Dave Matthews Band #41. I just love the groove and chord structure here. It's built upon the intersection between A dorian and E minor which is just a fun place to play. The lyrics are very deep too.

05/08/08 New Song of the MInute Colbie Caillat - Realize. I listened to all the live versions I can find and the one on Letterman sounds like the cleanest. "but I can't spell it out for you....no it's never gonna be that simple" just beautful. I would of love to had a chance to lay a nice bluesy solo down on this

03/30/08 New Song of the Minute Journey - Send Her My Love. I used the live version of March of 83 at the Budokan in Tokyo (which is a great show). Great song - Great lyrics and Neil's guitar work is just gorgous .. almost oriental or asian sounding.

02-09-08 Song of the minute is Back and to kick it off we have a brand new song of the minute. This time I used youtube video's and wherever I could I used a good live video. The new one is Van Halen's Can't stop loving you. I used the live version from their great Toronto show. I love the lyrics and Eddie's super sweet phrasing in the solo really make the song. Also Sammy is way better DLR.

11-27-05 Today is a sad day indeed. Sammie my beautiful, loving, faithful to the end, Rottwieller died. I am not sure what happened. Dogs live precarious lives and so in some way I expected it someday but it was always that someday and never, hopefully today. I remember when She first came into my life, a small 4.7 pound puppy, with a fat belly and a quick to lick tounge. I remember when my late brother billy spent the night and he fed her KFC and she loved it so much she would get a piece of finger with the chicken. I remember as how she used to wine at the foot of the bed until i would scoop her up and pull her close. She loved to sleep in the small of my back. Then she grew and grew to be a 120 pound monster. I remember how she used to climb in my bed at dads and give me a quick lick on the chin and then snuggle close and go to bed. She loved to play in the water and she loved to run the mountains. She never failed to greet me when i pulled up every sunday with dad to see her. I loved that lick to the face and the warm body snuggled close. She died in her sleep a quite death of something unseen at the ripe old dog age of 7. Well loved as one of the family and better cared for than any dog could hope. I will miss you Sammie and I will remember the friend you were to me. I hope to always remember the lessons you taught me about friendship and love. Wherever you are may their be untamed mountains to run and friends to love you as I did.

11-20-05 New Song of the Minute: My Chemical Romance - Ghost of You. Such a well performed song. He sings every word like he means it and that really counts for alot. "I never said I'd lie and wait forever..if i did we'd be together now..."

11-06-05 Hey everybody. Had a little set back with the guestbook. I went and found a nice easy to install script that's not based on a mysql database. It's called Ardguest. I've got it installed and it's posting entries and working great. I did manage to get all the old entries archived. I hate worse than anything spam entries and this script has a nice tool to keep that from happening. :)

10-28-05 New Song of the Minute Sarah Mclachlan - Do What You Have to Do I've already talked about Sarah. She is the first repeat and those that know me know this is no suprise. There is something so magical in the way she sings. No one knows loss like Sarah. Sarah is such a special artist to me. I remember when Mirrorball came out and me and my late Brother Billy went out and bought it and some Beer. This song always stuck out to me. One name comes to mind when I listen to it though and it starts with a J.....

10-18-05 New Song of the Minute Alison Krauss and Union Station Band (AKUS) - Goodbye is All We Have. I heard this song on cmt. Just the end of it, but that's all it took of Jerry Douglas' haunting melodies on the dobro and Alison's super pure voice and equaly haunting lyrics to let me know this was a great song. If the sound of those dobro solos don't break your heart you don't love music the way I do.

10-01-05 New Song of the minute Howie Day - Collide I've been after this song for months. Finally last night my friend Jason goes That's Howie Day man. What a voice, what a song.

You will notice some links added to A Healing Experience and Unfinished Clips and Ideas that make it possible for Netscape 6-7 users to stream the songs.

07-13-03 The site was down most of the day yesterday. The reason for this is simple. Someone with a lot of time on their hands aimed a crippeling dos against my webhost hostdime.com. Being the great host they are, they went to war and defended their hardware for most of the day. The site is up again as you can see, and hostdime has proved their metal at least to me.
